惠普公司在云计算领域投入的研发资源已经远超过去。本周三，惠普宣布其融合云方案阵营再添新成员，旨在深化其OpenStack贡献地位以及在企业级领域的混合云促进者角色。
惠普在声明中主要强调了其下阶段OpenStack类架构在私有、托管及公共云产品中的作用，并同时公布了新的云实施软件及服务。在此份声明中，惠普指出其“希望打造一个混合型世界”，从而将75%的现有企业IT事务“通过私有、托管及公共云”机制加以交付。预计这些工作将在三年内全面完成。
惠普此次公布的Cloud操作系统是一套以OpenStack为基础的平台，其设计初衷在于实现跨混合云管理。目前使用惠普Cloud操作系统的私有云软件CloudSystem以及全新CloudSystem企业入门套件都已经投付市场。该套件捆绑式方案，旨在实现云服务的快速交付。惠普公司同时宣称，该套件还能将前期使用成本降低达20%。

惠普Cloud操作系统还将登陆惠普Moonshot服务器以及惠普云服务。尽管以开源OpenStack软件为基础，惠普Cloud操作系统仍然提供了简便的安全流程、自动升级以及在内部云与惠普云服务之间随意进行工作负载迁移的能力。该公司表示，这些增强功能将以插件的形式加入进来，而无需对OpenStack进行修改。Cloud操作系统的沙箱机制还能在不增加额外成本的前提下，帮助客户构建新软件实验环境。
该公司现在还提供融合云专业服务套件，其中包括支持、设计、网络服务、CloudSystem主动维护、安全风险咨询以及惠普应用程序向云服务转换的强化等。
与此同时，惠普企业服务也开始向云服务转型，尤其是针对客户需求推出了一系列移动与企业应用。新产品如今包含基于云的企业应用、私有云以及服务风险与控制等企业服务项目。
数据中心管理模式
Pund-IT公司分析师Charles King认为，惠普目前的举动反映出云计算正逐步成为重要的“数据中心管理模式”。他同时表示，公共、私有与混合用例开始交相混合，企业用户需根据应用程序而非使用方式进行环境选择。
“企业用户必然要求某些特定应用与数据始终处于数据中心环境之下，”他解释道，例如关键性业务应用。他还援引IDC最近的一项研究结果，认为到2016年，78%的企业云工作负载将存在于私有云环境下、其它负载则由公共及混合云共同承载。
自在红帽手中诞生以来，OpenStack云基础设施合作体系早已超越了其早期推广计划。如今该项目在全球拥有100多家技术合作伙伴，包括戴尔、富士通、日立、瞻博网络、联想集团、洛克希德?马丁以及NEC等等。
该合作体系提供以红帽OpenStack技术为核心的培训课程，同时提供红帽OpenStack认证(用于交付认证化技术及产品)以及红帽认证化解决方案市场。
